Orlando Bloom builds eco-friendly home

Inhabitat reports that Orlando Bloom announced at a Pre-Oscars party that he was retrofitting his London home to be eco-friendly.

“It’s as green as I can make it. It’s got solar panels on the roof, energy efficient light bulbs - newer technology basically that is environmentally friendly. It might not be possible for everyone to live a completely green lifestyle, but we can do little things to help slow global warming.”

Bloom also arrived at the party in a Hybrid Plug-in car. The world is so ten-years behind the times on this technology. 

Speaking of the Oscars, did you watch Al Gore at the Oscars Sunday night? That's a man dedicated to a single mission. Thankfully he's beginning to pick up some practitioners in Hollywood. I don't know if Orlando Bloom was converted by Gore, but if more Hollywood types set an example like Bloom has, then I think it would be a little easier for the rest of the nation to join in the movement to combat global warming.
